Myles Dillon #65 Press Releases
Thunder X round 2Round 2 of the thunder X series was held in Rockhampton with 10 riders in show. The track was a natural terrain with plenty of off cambered corners and hills up and down it was set to be a very physical track. First race saw Dilllon get to the second corner first only to take the wrong line in and be boged in the black soil mud heap, after getting himself out was along way off the leaders with a hard chase managed to get back up to 4th place with young can am rider Josh Dick taking the win. Race 2 saw Dillon Take a whole shot and hold a steady gap with Dickie closing it on the second last lap before he could get the last lap bored after a jump off the chain came off down in the creek, Josh Dick managed to take the win. It took Myles A bit to get the chain back on with the mud being caught in the bash plate being the reason, after getting it on came through the finish to still recieve points for last place. Last Race of the day with the track getting very rough John Sherlock took the wholeshot and led for most of the first lap after a tangle up in the first corner dillon made his way through the field to go in to first place and go through to take the win closely followed by Dickie. Final results were Josh Dick 1st, Barry Gilbert 2nd, Myles Dillon 3rd, Craig Blackburn 4th Myles Had to say after, It wasnt my best weekend But thunderX is a different game to motox and you need to know the track can change so much between races. with my chain coming off i think im going to take the rear bash plate off and run a chain guide to help with that. well done to Josh he rode really well this weekend.
Blackwater CH seriesWith blackwater being the final round of the ch series for 2010 numbers where down on previous rounds. Blackwater track is a hard pack track with a great set of whoops and a rythm section. With 13 competitors and people vying for overalls in the series. Dillon was out of contention with missing early rounds due to injury. Race 1 saw Dillon with a holeshot to lead half of the first lap before stalling it in a corner, after getting started was sitting 5th before making some smooth passing through the rythm section and making it into 2nd before the end of the lap made it in to 1st and pulled a good lead and ride smooth. Race 2 was another holeshot for Dillon and never looked back from then on with Matty Marshall behind in 2nd Race 3 was not the best of starts 3rd out of the first corner then in the whoops made 2 great passes to move into first and with the track getting very rough made for great racing, with one lap to go a broken chain ended race 3 for Dillon. Myles said after the race," Im very dissapointed with the last race but thats racing i spose, bike was awsome today through the whoops and rough sections my fitness is improving all the time and looking forward to some thunder x races coming up.
