ATV Xteam - Jake Van Vliet

Well here goes for another year of playing in the dirt! . The 2011 race season left me with some unfinished business for sure with my first full season of PRO ATV racing most definitely opening my eyes to something truly amazing. No matter how hard you train, it never seems to be enough. No matter how hard you prepare and sacrifice those things “normal people” do, it’s never enough. But isn’t that the exact reason we all just keep coming back? That strive to succeed and that need to hold that number 1 plate.

Off season has left me pushing harder to succeed, trying to complete building bikes for the new season, having meetings with new and exciting sponsors, booking multiple flights and mainly trying to fit in as much training as possible. I am proud to say it has all paid off. I now have my very own Nationals Quad that I will be competing on in the 2 Rounds of the Rockstar MX Nationals and also the ATV MX Nationals. I also have a new quad that is purposely built for Australia’s toughest enduro event, the Thumb Pump 300 in which I will be teaming up with fellow teammate Adam Siemensma to defend our title. Also this year I will be competing in the full series of the Shell Advance Gippsland Regional Titles, the QRCV Series and also the State Titles in VIC, SA and QLD with a few enduro events here and there.

I would also like to give many thanks to Just Tools here in Victoria; without their generous support I would be hitch hiking to all the races.
