Chelsea Deboo

Chelsea DeBoo entered her first quad race in the beginnning of the 2008 season. Since that day she has continued to grow from race to race, bettering her skills and times throughout her short career in quad sport. By the end of the 2008 season, she had placed herself in a secure 2nd position within the SA Women's MX series, and boasted a new strong determination to be just as quick, skilled and agile as the top Women riders in Australia. This became her goal for the 2009 and 2010 seasons.

In 2008 she also entered her first edurance race at what is now referred to as 'one of Australia's most demanding quad events' the Thumb Pump 300. She finished the race in 5th place after riding a whole lap in tears, even more determined to take on the event the following year and earn a position much higher on the ranking list. In 2009 she placed 2nd in the Women's Class and went on to claim 1st place in the 2010 event.

In 2009 Chelsea entered her first Finke Desert Race as a challenge to be one of only a handful of females to complete the race on a quad. In 2010 she entered again and timed the fastest leg (from Apatula to Alice Spings) of any female quad racer and was one of only 3 females that completed the race. All were on Can-am's too.

She has been the QRASA Motocross Co-ordinator for the seasons 2009 & 2010, and in this role is in close contact with other Motocross clubs where she organises to hold events during the season. She also writes many articles for the SA Dualroost Quad Riders Magazine, and enjoys being part of positive sport promotions.

Chelsea bought her first Can-am DS450X in 2009 and has never looked back. In 2010 she purchased her current DS450X MX and has shown her performance has stepped up another level.

In 2011 she aims to challenge herself on and off the track. She will be defending her 2010 title in the Thumb Pump 300 Women's Class, with stronger skills and endurance than previously shown. She will be competing in the 2011 South Australian and Victorian ATV Motocross State Title events as well as the Australian ATV Motocross National Titles. She will also endevour to promote the Can-am product at different events throughout South Australia, like The Mount Crawford Forest Scout Rally as well as the promotion of a new ATV discipline, participating at Motard / Quad Drift recreational ride days.
