Jake Van Vliet
Jake van Vliet, riding for the 2011 Can-am X-team, is looking forward to this year very much, and he can't wait to build his new bikes for the 2011 season. Jake says "it's great to be backed by a team as large as the X-team and to recieve the support they offer". He is striving to get to as many races as possible this season and to collect as many podiums as he can for BRP Australia. He has recently gone up a grade into the pro class which will be quite scary for the young 17 year old. Jake will be competing in all of the QRCV Motocross Series the Gippsland Motocross Series and he plans on attending as many state title events as he can, including Victoria, South Australia and Queensland. The other major races this year for Jake will be the Finke Dessert Race and the Thumb Pump 300 ATV Festival, which require a lot more training than any motocross race. Jake looks forward to training for these larger endurance events and prepping the bikes differently for each discepline. "The DS450 XMX's are really reliable and strong for these kind of races" Jake commented when recently asked about his weapon of choice. Jake has recently singed up in an apprenticeship with X-Team engineering guru Adam Siemensma from Quad Squad International, giving him even more access to tuning enhancements with full dyno tuning access every day. Overall Jake is ready for a very tough and physical season of quad motocross and off road racing and he would love to give a shout out to all of his sponsors on the side of the page.
