Chad McKay has been a member of the Australian Can-am X-team since the beginning of 2009 and is stoked that he has been given another opportunity to race with the team in 2011.
He is 22 years old and has ridden Quads for most of his life, but has only been seriously racing pro class quad motocross for the past 6 years. He lives in Perth, Western Australia and works as a diesel mechanic in his families business, McKay Drilling.

The decision to sign with Can-am came late in 2008 after discussions with Mick Andrewartha of 47industries (X-team Manager) following the 2008 ATV MX Nationals. Now with a couple of successful years on the team behind him, Chad is taking a break from competing in any of the State MX championships, but he will compete in several major off road events such as the Thumb Pump 300 ATV Festival, Finke Desert Race and will then make a comeback to MX racing at the end of the year at the ATV MX Nationals in Queensland.
